The installation of QuickLock is very easy and can be performed by the operators right after the TV-inspection. The use of a camera tractor system is not required for the QuickLock installation and is sometimes even impossible; i. e. when the point repair is too close to the manhole, etc. However, RAUSCH strongly recommends using a camera system, mainly for obtaining the correct distances and for recording and verifying the installation process - as proof afterwards.



 

IMPORTANT:

QuickLock installers, who already own TV-inspection equipment other than a RAUSCH system (i.e. RST, Cues, Aries, IBAK, Envirosight.) need a simple adapter to be mounted onto their tractor. This adapter connects to the air hose and the connecting rod, which then pushes the installation packer. RAUSCH is offering technical support in designing and fabricating such adapters.

What other equipment is needed?

• Camera tractor, capable of pushing the installation packer to the repair spot
• Air compressor with air tank, approx. 100psi
• Air hose reel with approx. 300ft of air hose, pressure regulator, gauge, shut-off /bleeder valve
• Installation packer, accessory kit, sleeves
• ... and that's it!

How long does it take to install a QuickLock sleeve?

If the application is determined suitable for QuickLock (offset no greater than 3/8 inch, pipe not collapsed, no intruding parts, pipe clean & free from hard debris, good accessability), the entire installation of (1) sleeve can usually be executed within 1hour, easily! The actual installation takes only 1-3 minutes, depending on the sleeve size and the air compressor's capacity.
